The character Roger 'Verbal' Kint in 'The Usual Suspects' (1995) is nicknamed 'Houdini' for his ability to vanish mysteriously. In the animated film 'Bolt' (2008), the main character performs escape tricks earning him the nickname 'Houdini Dog'.
