Freckles was a memorable horse in Disney's 1994 film 'Black Beauty'. In the TV series 'American Girl', Felicity's horse was named Freckles. The name also appeared in children's book 'Freckles and Willie' by Margery Cuyler about a spotted dog's friendship with a boy.
