Raffles Hotel in Singapore, made famous in literature and film. A.J. Raffles, the gentlemen thief character created by E.W. Hornung, appeared in numerous books and TV adaptations including the 1939 film 'Raffles' starring David Niven. The name was also used for a butler character in BBC's 'Right Ho, Jeeves'.
