Isis was the title character in 'The Secrets of Isis' (1975-76), a CBS children's TV series about a science teacher who could transform into the superhero Isis. The character Captain Marvel's companion in DC Comics was also named Isis. In 'Downton Abbey', Isis was the name of the Crawley family's beloved yellow Labrador in early seasons.
